It was in the middle of winter and the weather forecast that aired on the news yesterday said it would be sunny today. But yet it had been raining all morning! I couldn’t believe it. I decided to go outside and face the rain. Nothing would ruin this day, let alone something as silly as rain. As I opened the door and began to step out I noticed an ominous green light seeping out of the clouds. I decided to investigate. As I walked further out into the cold I could feel the rain thumping on my head. I looked up and found myself staring at the source of the light. It was something extraterrestrial. It was a UFO.

100 word challenge
Tim slowly raised the gun and aimed it at my heart. I proceed to shout at him to stop. He was making a grave mistake. If Tim killed me he wouldn’t have another alibi for the robbery. The robbery of the biggest diamond on earth. Of course, it wasn’t him, but he was still a suspect. I continued to shout at Tim, but he wouldn’t listen. So I began to walk forward, to gain his attention. He put his finger on the trigger and aimed again. I leaped forward at him, stealing the gun. I forcefully threw it away into the warm morning sun. As a reflex, he ran for it. But somehow the gun was twisted and distorted into a knot. I figured I must’ve somehow bent it, and the sun curled it into such a way. But Tim was angry at this development. He charged at me.

100 word challenge
I saw the girl, running past the school gate. Her long socks were falling down, and her bag was repeatedly banging against her leg. I shouted at her to stop running, but she pretended like she didn’t hear me. Her shoelaces were coming undone as she carried on, so I shouted at her again, “Hey! Stop, you’re going to trip over!” She turned to look at me, and then stuck her tongue out at me, to prove that she didn’t care about whatever I said. And whilst she was teasing me one of her shoelaces twirled around her foot and launched her forward face first into the concrete.
She was sitting on the ground now, her face streaking with blood. It looked like it was unbearable. However, she just couldn’t believe what she had done.

The hunt for the spikes continued. Everyone was looking for them at this point. It all started with a message. The message was about these spikes, and inside one of them was a diamond. One almost as big as the plant itself. Somehow this message spread worldwide almost instantly. No-one knew how, or if it was even true, but everyone wanted to find the spikes. The hope of finding a diamond was too much to pass up. At first, only a few people believed it, but the trend spread. Everyone was soon spending all of their time looking for the spikes.
Some people found some spikes, but they were not the right ones, they were empty. And after several years everyone was so desperate to find the spikes. Always saying that so many places had been searched already that it would be easy. It was not. Until the day I saw them. They looked like they were glowing. So I began to move closer.
